At 7:25 the Phantom Control room came into action as a stolen Volvo excavator started alerting to us. We quickly contacted the customer and discovered that as well as the excavator a burglary had also taken place, which resulted in the loss of a lot of expensive work tools.

We quickly reported the theft to the MET police and informed them of the latest location, speed and heading of the stolen excavator. The police then quickly caught up with the stolen goods and found it dumped in a car park. The quick thinking officers examined CCTV footage taken just yards down the road, which identified the lorry, which had earlier dropped of the stolen Volvo.

The lorry was then spotted minutes later and pulled over by police officers which still contained all of the customers stolen Tools.

Our customer is more than delighted to have his Volvo excavator and all of his tools returned back.
