Reversing Camera

When you can't see what's behind you a second pair of eyes is essential. It's a fact that insurers pay out more for accidental damage than anything else, never mind the stress that can arise at a time when you're supposed to be relaxing.

There are a multitude of systems available so we here at Phantom we sort the wheat from the chaff ensuring that you only end up with a system that perfectly matches your requirements. All our systems are wired as it's our experience that wireless systems do not deliver the picture quality and continuity of signal that you will be happy with.

The generic term reversing camera covers a system made up of two main components, the camera itself and the display. Phantom match cameras with Sony components to displays of various types to ensure that your system works the way you want it to. All our systems are full colour and have screen sizes from 3.5" to 7".

Please note there is an additional cost of £50 for caravan installations due to the extra time and equipment required.

Camera Types

Fixed View Camera System From £499
Fixed View cameras are fitted with the optimum viewing angle and remains set at that angle, generally giving the ideal view for reversing. Depending on the shape of your vehicle it may be best to either have a roof mounted camera or a bullet camera. A bullet camera also has the advantage of being hidden away in the body/bumper of the vehicle to not alter the look of your vehicle.

Tilt camera System From £598
Tilt cameras have 2 viewing angles available. In normal driving the camera points horizontal to give you a few of the road behind, and then when you engage reverse the camera tilts downwards so you can use it as an aid for reversing.

Twin Lens System From £598
The Twin Lens System allows you to view two angles at the same time, so you can see distant and close by dangers at the same time.

Display Types

TV Display
Our displays will match your camera setup perfectly. We have a choice of either 3.5" Screen, 5.6" Screen or a 7" Screen.

Clip On Camera
If you don't have room on your windscreen to place a normal display these clip on cameras are perfect. They fit over your rear view mirror and as well as working still as a mirror you can also see your reversing image when the gear is engaged.
